These pictures were taken in the Costa del Sol, Spain. They show a popular tourist destination. Thousands of people fly to this area in search of good weather and fine beaches. This tourism brings in much needed money to Spain and provides lots of jobs for locals people. On the negative side this tourism can cause damage to the area as lots of people bring overcrowding, pollution and social problems caused by drunken behaviour.

We study tourism in Year 9 and at GCSE level. Pupils learn how tourism has developed overtime and the impacts it can have on an area.
